James L. Kahn, M.D. July 3, 1945 - June 10, 2014 Beloved father, husband and grandfather. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Minette and Raymond Kahn. Dr. Kahn moved to Lima, Ohio in 1977 and practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology for 36 years. During that time, Dr. Kahn was always very involved in the Lima community. He is survived by his beloved high school sweetheart and wife of 45 years, Nancy nee Horwitz; son Steven Kahn, M.D. (Karl Mann) and daughters Carolyn Kahn Birkenstein (Eric Birkenstein), Valerie Kahn (Josh Gershenson) and Alison Kahn Wertheimer (Daniel Wertheimer); sister Elizabeth Coppersmith (Larry Coppersmith), brother Bill Kahn (Chris Kahn), brother-in-law Paul Horwitz (Tanya Horwitz), sister-in-law the late Janet Horwitz; nephews Larry Coppersmith, Dustin and Kevin Kahn; nieces Katia and Ira Gruzinova; and six adored grandchildren Julia, Scott, and Leslie Anne Birkenstein, Raquel and Caleb Wertheimer, and Maxwell Gershenson.
