I was a friend of Cherry Hassel for most of our early adult lives.. For seven years we both lived in Winter park, Fla. where Cherry lived with her husband Tony and two adorable children. She spent .many years fighting cancer as did her younger brother Bill Hassel...They both died a year apart from a rare form of stomach cancer,..Just writing about her makes me smile..We would always go out to the dairy queen across from Loyola Academy to have a hot dog and an orange freeze...and ... cigerettes... She still had her 60's Ford Mustang until the end.....I miss her wonderful humor, kindness...and friendship...
